"Above all else, children need to know and feel they are loved, wanted, and appreciated. They need to be assured of that often. Obviously, this is a role parents should fill, and most often the mother can do it best." Erza Taft Benson

Breakfast with Santa

048

We loaded up a few Saturday’s before Christmas to make sure we made it in time to the annual Breakfast with Santa here at the Parks and Rec Center. 75 kids are able to attend this event and when we signed up for it we were numbers 32 and 33. I didn’t realize that the number in which you signed up for the breakfast was the number you got to see Santa. Very organized. If we are here next year I will be sure to sign up as soon as I see the information that they are seating guest! Maybe we will get #1. Breakfast was nice and the kids enjoyed eating and running around in the gym while we waited for all the other guest to eat and for Santa to arrive. Once Santa arrived he read ‘Twas the night before Christmas to the kids. Carter sat with his buddy Ayden during the reading. Carter has really taking a liking to Santa this year. Hasn’t really showed any signs of being scared as long as he knows he is going to be there. (another story about that to follow soon—if I can get caught up!) After the story was read it was time to wait in line for Santa. Or wait for your number to be called which was way better than waiting in line! Finally it was our turn to meet Santa. Carter told him he wanted a UPS truck and Santa told him he wanted pizza! Carter told him he wasn’t getting pizza he was getting cookies…sheewww glad we didn’t have to find pizza on Christmas eve to leave for Santa! As you can tell Kensi wasn’t very into Santa this year. hence why I am in the photo with the kids. So glad we were able to do that as a family. It really helped make memories of this holiday season memorable.
