"Above all else, children need to know and feel they are loved, wanted, and appreciated. They need to be assured of that often. Obviously, this is a role parents should fill, and most often the mother can do it best." Erza Taft Benson

Birthday Ball

We attending the Marine Corps Birthday Ball and had a great time. As usual the food wasn’t to our liking but we are pretty hard to please. However, Nick did get a piece of birthday cake this year and that always means we leave happy. We also danced our one slow dance and lucky for me Emily liked to dance we did a few twist and turns on the dance floor. I will admit I felt really old when the DJ would switch songs and all the younger marines and dates would start saying OOHHH SHOOT and jumping up and down all excited about the song..I was like yep I’m old have no clue what song this is! However, it didn’t damper the fun. I really enjoyed myself besides the fact that I have a bad chest cold.

Nothing like seeing my husband dressed in his Dress Blues. I sure am proud of him. The Birthday Ball always makes me proud to be a Marine Wife and also makes me know that their commanders appreciate the role the wives play in their job.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

hair do

The “Hair do”. I was glad to have the chance to get my hair done before the ball this year. It really helps you feel like the princess your husband claims you are. Thanks to my mom keeping the kids I had an excuse to go to Mrs. Teresa to get my fabulous hair do!

This is what you get when you ask Nick to take a picture of hot ladies. He literally held the camera out without looking through the eye hole and continued to talked to his buddies. Hence our facial expressions like dude..really stop talking and take our picture and stop with the flashes!

We made him retake our picture!
