"Above all else, children need to know and feel they are loved, wanted, and appreciated. They need to be assured of that often. Obviously, this is a role parents should fill, and most often the mother can do it best." Erza Taft Benson

Get out and Stay out!

October is National Fire Prevention Month.  Preschool for this week has been about Fire Safety. On Tuesday the Fire Truck visited the class and they got to hold a few pieces of equipment and sit in the truck. They also extended the ladder out for the kids to see. Carter loved every minute of it and Kensi was enjoying being a sibling of a preschooler. When I picked up Carter that day he came home all interested in the smoke detectors and if they worked and how many we had. So glad he is learning fire safety and the importance of how to handle a situation if a fire happens.  We talked about our plan and what he should do if he hears them going off. Of course his response is “Get out and Stay Out” (at Aspen’s after he looks for cars!)
